Suicide 'Skwad'

Suicide Squad 2016

The movie suicide squad due to release in august 2016, has gained world wide attention for taking over a local tattoo shop in the south of America and calling it Harley Quinn’s Tattoo Parlour. They offered free temporary or permanent tattoos of the most recent posters of each character.

This marketing ploy was inspired by the cast of Suicide Squad getting ‘SKWAD’ tattoos by Margot Robbie (the actor who plays Harley Quinn) to celebrate the end of filming.

The whole tattoo shop was decorated to look as if it was Harleys own shop. This shop gained worldwide coverage and cause hundreds of fans to get their temporary and permanent tattoos.

AS Film Coursework

For my film sequence i will be creating a scene where a teenage girl wakes up at a party from the night before, this scene focuses of this particular character and her loneliness and characteristic. There are subtle tells of this girls characteristics in the way the scene is being shot. There are extreme close ups on her feet her hands and an alarm clock in the room she wakes up in. This drama sequence is meant to reflect on how youths are becoming familiar with toxic environments. The way she switches of the alarm clock tells us she has been in this situation before. The close up on er fingers running along the banters and kitchen surfaces represent how in reality she is still a child and she's been consumed by these environments. The close up's of her bare feet show a struggle or a suffering but also shows something rather pure and delicate.

Other shots include a mid to long shot of her walking to the back doors to take a phone call and an extreme close up of her shoes and her picking them up to an extreme long shot that fades into her walking away. These shots show that she is a distant person and reflect the loneliness of the character.
I am planning to use cinematography to bring to life inanimate objects and give them character. The characters will kick a bottle while she is walking and the camera will focus on the bottle as it moves of the floor, it will also zoom into the bottle. This shows the audience what has caused the mess in the party and also shows how a lot of teenagers problems begin. The character will take on the point of view of the chgaracter as she is walking around the house and the camera will reveal the different people lying around and will pan around the rooms.

The only piece of dialog within the sequence furthers the point that this character has been abandoned. This is a voice mail she leaves on her boyfriends phone when she didn't see him when she woke up in the morning "Where are you?, you weren't there when i woke up this morning, call me''.

A shot that isolates the character will be shown. The camera will zoom out from an extreme close up of her eyes to reveal that she is eating alone and then to reveal that she is surrounded by passed out people.
